Celebrating the 10th Anniversary - 2013

The Healthcare Interest Group (HIG) is one of the Saudi Quality Council- Western Region interest established in 2013 by group of health care community's pioneers who devoted their efforts to seed quality culture in health care services.

HIG Mission is to continuously spread the quality culture among the health care providers through professional and educational networking, and to exchange knowledge and expertise of quality applications, implementation and certification within the health care community.

HIG Vision is to be among the pioneers in advancing quality culture in health care services derived from our ethical and professional values and social responsibility and have fingerprint in the quality journey of the health care facilities deploying it in the Western region.

HIG Goals are:

  1. Raise awareness about the necessity of quality implementation in health care services and facilities.
  2. Networking with the health care leaderships, professionals and advocates to advance quality excellence in health care industry and community.
  3. Prominent and active presence or participation in professional events to promote quality culture and its applications in health care services.
  4. Organize and/or co-sponsor health care quality events with interested parties.
  5. Bridging with the public to raise awareness about the quality culture, applications, certifications, rights, and benefits in the health care services offered to them through participation in the social and community activities.

CLMA:

Founded in 1976, Clinical Laboratory Management Association (CLMA) is an international association of nearly 3,000 clinical laboratory professionals.  CLMA empowers laboratory professionals to achieve excellence in leadership through forward-thinking educational, networking, and advocacy opportunities. POLQM:

The Program Office of Laboratory Quality Management (POLQM) is a unique Certificate Course offered by the University of British Columbia Since 2002.

POLQM is a 21-week course Laboratory Quality Management and offered once a year. It is accredited for Continuing Education Credits for Canada and International. The course combines the convenience of on-line at-home study with the learning advantages of active faculty and peer interaction. It has provided an intensive on-line virtual classroom Certificate Course in Laboratory Quality Management for laboratory professionals interested in developing the knowledge and skills to be a medical laboratory Quality Manager.

This course is limited to individuals with established work experience in laboratories to ensure that the level of discussion is maintained at a high and relevant level. Participants regularly include Pathologists, Residents, Graduate Students, Quality Team Members and Managers, Technologists, Administrators and Quality Partner Organizations.

The course utilizes Blackboard Vista Learning System® software for a virtual class-room experience with group and subgroup discussions, discussion threading, document sharing, notifications, assignments, and examinations. It gives the opportunities for both synchronous and asynchronous chatting.
